Weekend

Yesterday turned out better than I thought it would - as it was 6 months ago on the 15th that James had his first siezure. I thought that I would spend all day going through the day again, minute by minute (as I can remember every minute of that day).

As it happens,we all had a very long discussion about it on Friday evening, got it all out of our systems, there were a few tears, but it has made us feel that we can move on - and even though we know that this maybe isnt the end of James's Epilepsy,we feel that we are now stronger as a family, and better equipped to deal with it.

So, yesterday we had a lovely day. Had to have a mass clean up first thing, lots of laundry and packing away.Mike and I managed to do this before 8.30am,so the rest of the day was free.

We went to a car booty in The Square, got a few books for each of us and a mini skateboard for James, along with a wooden Humpty Dumpty jigsaw (his favourite nursery rhyme character) for 20p,plus some Bob The Builder Toys.

Then we came back home, and out into the garden. Becky read her newly purchased books, Danny was bug hunting, James played on his skateboard (sitting not standing I should mention) in his sand pit and a million other things that he had on the go.

Mike and Danny went in to watch the FA Cup Final in the afternoon, while I took James for his nap.

Later we all went back into the garden, I taught Becky how to play two balls, James and Danny played on their skateboards, and I re-potted, planted and watered the garden.

In for supper and despite the sunny day, it was quite chilly and we had to put the heating on!

Hope you are all having a good weekend.
God Bless
Lou x
