Well we managed to complete the run over the weekend, although it ended up being a walk - we intended to run it with James in his pushchair, but he wasnt that keen on all the shouting or the large crowds,so Mike had to carry him on his shoulders, Becky and Danny ran on, and we walked the rest of the route - (thank goodness).
We all got medals and so far we have raised £330 for Epilepsy Research UK (£80 more than our original target!).
The rest of the day was spent eating chocolates in front of the tv with our quilts, as it was freezing cold.
Bank Holiday Monday - Trip to Crealy Adventure Park - great day, log flumes, slides, water boats, carousels, and soft ball shoot outs.
Quick visit to my parents on the way home.
Today - I took James to the park while Mike did an experiment with the children - water pollution - water filtering.
As it was a nice warm day, we spent most of it in the garden - James even had his afternoon nap outside. Becky and Danny were bird watching, painting, skateboarding, playing football, practising netball, looking at tadpoles, and making bows. They also picked some dandelions, then Mike and Danny fried them in batter (saw this on another blog. I ate one, but that was it - didnt really like it.
Later Mike went for an interview, Dannys friend came round, Becky had her class and now we are all in bed, reading or on the computer.
Tomorrow - maybe HE group - depends on the weather.
God Bless

So good to hear from you...I love it when you visit me. Sounds like you have been busy...my Grand-dad made dandelion wine when I was young...it smelled so bad! We would go and visit...it was just nasty smelling...I have no idea if he even drank it...dandelions are lovely to look at but they are bitter...I can't imagine them fried...were they bitter?
ReplyDeleteGlad you were able to raise above what you needed...that's wonderful.
Hope all is well,
