Having not felt well over the last couple of days it was good to get up yesterday feeling a little bit better.
So feeling productive, J and I went through his reading books and decided that we should get around to making a word tree, so every word he learns gets pinned to the tree. We then read about the rain forest (good old Cat in the Hat Learning series) and then Dinosaurs.
Then we headed up to the allotment. I managed to get a fair bit done, while J played in his little area, which has now turned into a mud pit, with a bridge for his action figures to walk across. We had a visit from a lovely little cat who was so friendly and cuddly. It then proceeded to poo at the side of the allotment. Luckily I had a plastic bag.
Still getting ready for Halloween, have three pumpkins to carve this weekend, one is absolutely massive, lots of pumpkin soup next week I think.
As we approach half term (we follow the school terms) we today will be winding down for a week off. B and D will have a spelling test today, and I will be looking at how they have been doing with their Maths and English over the last term.
Have decided though, that B will now be studying for iGCSE English Spec B, not a lot of difference from A, but I think the B will be more suited for her. So will be planning a study guide for next term.
So busy weekend ahead, planning to go to the allotment, rugby as usual but of course the big storm is approaching so may have to put these plans on hold.
