Ambling along

We haven't been up to speed on our home education routine at the moment.

M's shifts have been all over the place, D sprained his ankle last week during a rugby match, and this week both D and J have been poorly.

B though, has muddled on through with her studying, and has also now has a little job helping out a couple with their puppies.  They are out at work all day so B spends time playing with them, and taking them out if they need to go to do their business.

One thing that B did miss from being at School for a year was the routine.  You can create that at home it you like, but of course you dont have to stick to is, so you have to be quite strict with yourself.  So now she has this job, she gets up and dressed ready to study (which I always think is a good idea but do not inflict this rule on the kids), studies for two hours, sees to the dogs, home again, lunch, then study again and then tends to the puppies.

Next week M will be starting a new job, where he will be on a late and early shift.  The late shift means he will be home all morning, which I think is going to really help with the home schooling routine, especially with James.

At the moment because J isn't feeling very well, he just wants to sit on the sofa cuddled into me and watch films. So I have used this opportunity to go online and try and organize a rugby tour for next year, and also some more Home Ed planning.

Today, if I am to be on the sofa for a considerable time again, I will be time tabling for when our new routine starts next week.

Some good planners here
