Having a good week - busy - but good.

Sunday 1st August we celebrated my eldest son Danny's 10th Birthday.

Monday was a bit of a struggle, awful weather, lots of housework to do,plus over excited children.

On Tuesday I took the children into Exeter to buy James a Brum DVD, then we went onto Crealy from there. We stayed for an hour or so, as it was heaving.  While the eldest two spent most of their time on the drop slides, James played in the sand pit, then we went to the Animal Barn, where he brushed a pony (got a sticker) and milked a cow (got a certificate - or a tificate as James likes to call it).
We then got back onto the bus and headed of to Sidmouth. It is The Sidmouth Folk Week so lots of music, Morris dancers, craft stalls etc.
We had a look around, then got some chips and ate them on the beach.

Today - National Play Day - lot of places hosting events today, we decided to go to Barnstaple, it is 33 miles away, but we get to catch the train along the Tarka Train Line, which takes about 50 minutes.

At Barnstaple  museum they were running workshops, learning how to juggle with juggling balls that you have made, plus lots of equipment for circus skills and a Vintage Mobile Cinema where Becky and Danny watched a 20 minute film.

Then we went to the park

Then we went for a little walk along the river

Then face painting before we caught the train home

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your week
Lou x
