Firstly
So psyched to have found these in Morrison's, brings back memories of childhood birthday parties in the seventies 😊.
Slowly getting my gear together in time for the start of the term the week after next ( we start back a week after the schools and finish a week earlier).
So a trip to the library yesterday, picked up some books related to our planned topics:
Also printed out a shed load of stuff for our wall display about India.

Its been a while.....
Having a fairly relaxing Bank Holiday weekend so far and am getting into gear to start planning for the new term for James which will be starting in just over a week.
Ideas so far:
India.
This is inspired by my sister and her wife who recently went to India for three weeks. Not only did it sound incredibly interesting, but I also realised my knowledge of India was very limited, so I thought this a great opportunity to find out more about it.
Victorians.
Intrigued whilst at the beach last week about how and when the British first started going to the beach. Turns out it was the Victorians. So I thought it would be a good idea for a unit study.
Coasts
Lots of field trips shall be had from this topic. We looked at Rivers last year and went on a really interesting trip to the source of the River Exe, so I thought it would good to move on from Rivers and find out a bit more about the coastline.
Will follow up with links and plans as the week goes on.
Its a start.
